Getting started

with Leadswitch

From the first time you open it to a finished profile — thirteen steps, about five minutes, all on your phone.

One good turn.

app.leadswitch.org

Before you start

Three things, and nothing else.

1

Your phone

Everything here happens in the browser you already use — Safari on an iPhone, Chrome on an Android.

2

Your email address

This is your username. There’s no separate one to invent or remember.

3

A few minutes

And access to your email inbox, because one step needs you to open a message.

1Open the app

Tap the link your captain sent you, or type app.leadswitch.org into your phone’s browser.

Open the app

There is no username

Your email address is how you sign in. Type it into the box and nothing else is needed yet.

2Tap Continue

Leadswitch checks the address and figures out on its own whether you are new here or already have an account.

Tap Continue

If you would rather not have another password at all, “Continue with Google” at the top does the whole thing in two taps.

3Give your name

It says “Looks like you’re new here” — so fill in the two boxes it shows you.

Give your name

Use your real name

This is the name members see when you send them business, and the name they look for when they have work to send back.

4Pick a password

Type a password, then tap Create account.

Pick a password

Watch the little bar

The colored bar under the box turns green when the password is strong enough. You’ll only need it if you sign out.

5Add your photo

The setup screen opens. Tap “Add a photo” and choose a picture of yourself from your phone.

Add your photo

Optional — but do it anyway

Members pass work to a face they recognize. A profile with a photo gets noticeably more leads than one without.

6Fill in the red stars

Scroll down the same screen and complete every box that has a red star beside it.

Fill in the red stars

Four boxes, that’s all

Your name, your business name, your business category, and your phone number. Everything else on this screen can wait.

7You’re in

Tap “Finish and enter Leadswitch” at the bottom. This screen appears, and the account is done.

You’re in

Tap “Let’s go”. You can share and receive leads on your own right away — joining a chapter can come later.

8Check your email

Leadswitch has just emailed you a confirmation link. Open your email and tap it.

Check your email

Careful with one button

“Not spam” and “Report spam” sit next to each other and look almost the same. Tap the first one.

Until that link is tapped, nobody can send you a lead.

9Green means ready

Tapping the link brings you back to Leadswitch with this message at the top of the screen.

Green means ready

That was the important one

Your address is confirmed, so members can now send business to you. If you ever miss the email, there is a “Send it again” button on the orange notice.

10Keep it on your phone

On an Android phone, Leadswitch offers to add itself. Tap “Add to home screen”.

Keep it on your phone

Why bother

It gets its own icon, opens with one tap, stays signed in, and shows a dot when a lead arrives — no hunting through browser tabs.

11On an iPhone

Safari never offers, so you add it by hand. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.

On an iPhone

Then scroll and tap

Scroll down the list that slides up, tap “Add to Home Screen”, then tap “Add” in the top corner. That’s it.

12What you end up with

An icon sitting on your home screen, next to everything else you use.

What you end up with

Tap it and Leadswitch opens full screen, already signed in. A small dot appears on the icon when someone has sent you a lead.

13Profile complete

Open the menu under your picture, tap “My profile”, and look at the bar at the top.

6 of 6

Six green bars means members can see everything they need in order to refer business to you. That’s the finish line.

Done?

Five checks, and you’re a working member.
